Bonev Energy Company Ltd is the owner and operator of photovoltaic power plant Bonev – Chirpan with an installed capacity of 2 005.08 kWр. It is located  near Chirpan in Stara Zagora region. The  power  plant  has  a  south – southwest  orientation.  The plant is built in stages.

The installed capacity for stage 1 is 1 496.88 kWp. The main facilities are 7 128 polycrystalline photovoltaic panels with  capacity of 210 Wp, manufactured by Anel Group, Turkey. (For more information click here). Installed are 132 single-phase inverters with capacity of 11 kW, manufactured by SMA, Germany (For more information click here). Subsequently, 9 of the SMA inverters were removed and replaced with 3 three-phase inverters of 30kW, manufactured by Huawei, China.They are connected by three pieces in a three-phase inverter group, a total of 44 inverter groups. The installed CCTS is with  capacity of 1 600 kVA.

At stage 2 the installed capacity is 508.20 kWp. The construction of the new output is carried out in the free north-western part of the property. The main facilities are 1 540 monocrystalline photovoltaic modules with  capacity of 330 Wp each, manufactured by JinkoSolar, China (For more information click here). Installed are 9 three-phase inverters with  capacity of 50 kW each, manufactured by KACO, Germany (For more information click here).

As of 2024, the main facilities include:

7,680 poly crystalline photovoltaic panels:

• 5,564 panels of 210 kW capacity, manufactured by ANEL, Germany (For more information see here)
• 1,540 panels with a power of 330 kW, manufactured by JinkoSolar, China (For more information, see here)
• 576 panels, of which 553 with 585 kW and 23 with 575 kW, manufactured by Beyond Sun, China (For more information, see here)

125 single-phase inverters:

• 108 inverters with a power of 11 kW, manufactured by SMA, Germany (For more information, see here)
• 9 inverters with a power of 50 kW, manufactured by KACO, Germany (For more information, see here)
• 3 inverters with a power of 30 kW, manufactured by Huawei, China (For more information, see here)
• 5 inverters with a power of 50 kW, manufactured by Huawei, China (For more information, see here)

On 19.05.2012 the company concluded a contract for the purchase of electricity with Elektrorazpredelenie Yug AD for a period of 20 years at a price of BGN 485.60 / MWh with allowed maximum external power 1 500 kWp. As of 04.06.2019, the contract for purchase of electricity with Elektrorazpredelenie Yug EAD was terminated. On 09.07.2019, a contract for the sale of electricity was concluded with Energo – Pro Energy Services EOOD. On 31.07.2019 a contract for compensation with premiums was established with a producer under the Energy Act from RES with the Electricity System Security Fund with a term until June 2032. On 31.05.2020 the contract with “Energo – Pro Energy Services” EOOD was ended and a new contract was established with “Company for the Power Worker and Development” OOD starting 08.06.2020. On 31.10.2023 the contract with “Energy and Development Company” Ltd. was terminated. On 01.11.2023, a contract for the purchase of electric energy and participation in a standard balancing group was established with “Electrohold Trade” EAD. The contract was terminated by mutual agreement on 30.06.2024. As of 01.07.2024, a contract for the purchase of electric energy and participation in a standard balancing group was established with “MET Energy Trading Bulgaria” EAD.

In 2022, we provided a donation to write the libretto of the ballet “Calliope”, which premiered in 2024 at the Rousse State Opera.
